On the third Wednesday of each month, the River Basin Center invites a speaker to share their expertise on a topic relating to freshwater research or policy.

Dr. Brian Bledsoe, River Basin Center member and director of the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems (IRIS), will speak about the recent Presidential Seed Grant IRIS received to create a National Center of Excellence for nature-based infrastructure solutions. This award has accelerated the IRIS mission to advance the integration of natural and conventional infrastructure, and ultimately, to strengthen the resilience of our communities.

His talk will be followed by light refreshments.
