About: Katy Smith manages the Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s water quality program based in Brunswick, Georgia. She provides education, outreach, and service-learning opportunities to engage the public in marine stewardship. She partners with coastal organizations to conduct workshops and develop outreach campaigns and action plans to address water quality and environmental challenges.
