Third Wednesday Symposium

Informal but informative, the River Basin Center’s Third Wednesday Symposia connect faculty, students and community members interested in freshwater science and water policy, offering a forum for learning and discussion on a range of topics related to the RBC’s mission. Talks usually run about 30 minutes, and are followed by snacks, refreshments and socializing.

August 17, 4 p.m. Dr. Nandita Gaur will present, “What makes septic system management an enigma?” Hybrid, River Basin Center Conference Room and Zoom.

September 21, 4 p.m. Dr. Callie Oldfield of the Phinizy Center for Water Sciences will present, “Managing Research and Relationships as a Science Nonprofit.” Hybrid, River Basin Center Conference Room and Zoom.

Thursday, October 20, 3:30 p.m. The RBC will partner with the Warnell School’s seminar series at this event, when Lisa Lord of the Longleaf Alliance will present, “Bringing Back Longleaf: Forests for the Future.” Warnell, Building 1, Room 304.
