Dr. Freeman’s interests include the distribution and abundance of fishes endemic to southeastern systems (in the context of preserving species diversity) and human population development’s impacts on the functions of streams and rivers. Dr. Freeman is also interested in quantifying basin characteristics in southeastern watersheds harboring remnant endemic communities and systematics and taxonomy of southeastern freshwater fishes.
