The Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology

The Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology is an interdisciplinary meeting held approximately every 3-5 years with the specific aim to further the scientific study of stream ecosystems in urban landscapes.

The 5th Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology (SUSE5) will be held February 12 to 15, 2020 in downtown Austin, Texas (USA) at the Palmer Events Center on beautiful Ladybird Lake. The theme of SUSE5 is Moving the bar on multidisciplinary solutions to wicked urban stream problems

At-a-glance agenda for the meeting can be found HERE.

Barriers for effective management and restoration are wicked problems requiring expertise in natural science, social science, the humanities, communication, engineering, landscape architecture, and education. Participants will work in diverse teams to tackle complex real-world problems in urban stream management through in-depth case studies. Please visit the SUSE5 website for more information or email the communications co-chairs, Megan Fork and Bob Smith, at urbanstreamssymposium@gmail.com if you have any questions.
